Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has congratulated Inter Milan after beating Atalanta 2-0 in their final game of the 2019/20 Serie A season on Saturday.

The 31-year-old didn't make the matchday squad as the Nerazzurri ended Atalanta’s 19-match unbeaten run with a victory at the Gewiss Stadium.

Danilo D’Ambrosio and Ashley Young scored in the opening 20 minutes as Inter finished the season with 82 points, one behind champions Juventus who lost their final game 3-1 at home to AS Roma.

Atalanta, whose last defeat was at home to SPAL in Serie A in January, finished third with 78 points and were top scorers with 98 goals - two short of becoming the first side to score 100 in a season since 1950-51.

After the game, Asamoah took to social media to congratulate Antonio Conte and his lads.

Due to injuries, the former Juventus ace made only 11 appearances for Inter and registered one assist in all competitions.

The Ghana international will decide his future at Inter Milan in a week’s time, footballghana.com understands.

Having joined the Nerazzurri club in 2018 after ending a 6-year stay with Juventus, versatile player looks set to leave his current club when his contract expires.
