Ghana striker Kwadwo Poku says it was a great opportunity playing alongside Frank Lampard and Pirlo at his former club in the Major League Soccer.

Opoku played with the football legends at New York City where he established himself as a key member of the squad.

The 26-year old who is now with Miami FC says Lampard and Pirlo impacted on his career positively.

“Playing with world class players like Andrea Pirlo,Frank James Lampard and David Villa as a young player coming at New York City is a great opportunity l never had,” he told Angel FM

” I joined Miami FC due to the fact that l was fighting the same position with Lampard who at time was on loan from Manchester City,and as seniority counts in football l had to pave the way for him, for me to also gain more playing time elsewhere,” he said.
