Kwaku Oteng, the president and founder of the Angel Group of Companies, has stated that he has no interest in becoming the next Board Chairman for Asante Kotoko, a popular Ghanaian football club.

Speculation arose after reports suggested that he could be named as the replacement for Kwame Kyei as their three-year mandate is coming to an end.

It is being reported that Kwaku Oteng could be taking on the top role at Asante Kotoko, as a picture posted online by Asempa FM showed him posing with Otumfuo Osei Tutu, fueling the rumors surrounding his potential appointment.

However, Kwaku Oteng has since come forward to clarify his stance, firmly stating, "I am not interested in being the next Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman," as reported by Angelonline and quoted by Ghanaweb.

The current board, led by Dr. Kwame Kyei, is reportedly preparing for their final meeting, during which they will finalize their report and submit it to Otumfuo Osei Tutu, the Asantehene, who holds the power to make changes to the board.
