Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane lauded the talent of Ghanaian attacker Kwame Peprah after he gave his side a lot of headaches during the NedBank Cup.

After a 0-0 scoreline in regulation time, Kaizer Chiefs defeated Peprah's Maritzburg United by a score of 2-0 in added time in the Round of 32.

Peprah made his second appearance for the South African team after signing a six-month loan agreement from Orlando Pirates of the DSTV Premiership.

Kwame Peprah was substituted in the 73rd minute in the defeat, he was replaced by Amadou Soukouna.

“We warned the guys about Kwame Peprah, who is strong and good at holding the ball, but the young man number 20 still gave us problems” Zwane said.

Peprah is expected to play in Maritzburg's league match against Orlando Pirates on Friday, February 17, at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto. He scored with a header in his first game, a 1-1 draw against Amazulu.

Martizburg is 15th on the league table with 21 points after 19 games.
