Ghanaian youngster Kwame Poku scored and grabbed an assist in Peterborough United's 3-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur Academy in the EFL Trophy Southern Grp. D Round 2 on Tuesday evening.

The game started slowly, with Spurs willing to attempt to drag Posh out of their shape, but when they did find space, they exploited it brilliantly, and Alejo Veliz headed home a cross from the left on 24 minutes.

After a wonderful in-swinging corner from Harrison Burrows, Emmanuel Fernandez blasted home a close-range header to tie the scores on the half-hour mark.

Posh took the lead on 53 minutes after superb work from Kwame Poku down the right produced the opportunity for Jones, whose shot slipped through Keeley's hands and into the back of the net.

Kwame Poku completed a fantastic surge from back to front for Posh, curling a lovely left-footed shot into the top corner after Jamie Donley had fired over for Spurs.

The Ghanaian attacker has made two appearances, scored one goal and assisted one in the EFL this season.
