Midfielder Kwasi Donsu has revealed that he could not secure a permanent switch to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at the end of his loan spell because of foreign players quota policy in the US.

The Medeama Sporting Club (SC) talisman joined the United Soccer League (USL) side in January 2019 for a short loan spell.

Despite impressing during his time in the USL, he returned to Ghana later in November before the Ghana Premier League season was suspended.

Speaking to Akoma FM, Kwasi Donsu has opened up on why a permanent deal was not agreed at the end of the loan stint.

“I didn't fail in the USA during my one year loan. I was sacrificed because of the foreign players' quota policy and the fact that the coach who signed me was fired”, the midfielder shared.

He further revealed, “I wasn't worried when I was warming the bench in the course of the season at Medeama. My trip and return affected me”.
