Ghanaian striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt is hoping his summer move to Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II Tilburg will help revive his Black Stars career.

The 25-year-old, who has been at Bayern Munich since 2017 will join Willem II Tilburg on a three-year deal next season after failing to break into the first-team set up despite playing in some friendly and cup games.

The highly-rated forward has made over 80 appearances, scored 65 goals and provided 18 assists in process for Bayern Munich II.

Speaking in an interview, Wriedt opened up on why he opted for the Dutch side and how the move will help him going forward.

"The discussions with the club were simply outstanding,” Wriedt said. "It is the best way to take the next step."

"I haven’t definitely closed off the chapter, I would like to work my way back."

Wriedt made his Black Stars debut in 2018 when he climbed off the bench in a 2-0 international friendly win over Japan.
