Kwesi Appiah is not good enough; he must go - Alhaji Grusah

Veteran football administrator, Alhaji Grusah has stressed that Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah must be sacked because he cannot help Ghana to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The gaffer is in his second stint as the head coach of the West African country but is yet to lead the side to continental glory despite taking the team to two AFCON tournaments.

With many calling for the head of Coach Appiah, Alhaji Grusah in an interview with Atinka FM today has reiterated that he supports the idea.

According to him, beating South Africa and Sao Tome in AFCON qualifiers does not change the fact that the gaffer is not good enough and hence he must be sacked.

“I have made my views clear on Coach Kwesi Appiah. I want him to go. He is not good enough.

“Don’t tell me he has beaten South Africa and Sao Tome. Ghana has always found it easy to qualify for AFCON but to win it is the problem.

“Kwesi Appiah can’t help us”, Alhaji Grusah stressed.

Kwesi Appiah is under contract with the GFA until December 2019 and his faith will be decided when it expires.
