Kwesi Appiah praises teammates efforts after NorthEast failed to win the league

Attacker Kwesi Appiah took to his official Twitter account to praise his teammate's efforts through out the season saying he is proud of them despite NorthEast United's inability to win the 2020/2021 Indian Super League title.

"So proud of this team and our achievements this season! Unfortunately we weren’t able to win the trophy but we fought with everything we had all season! We finish the season with our heads held high and records to be proud of!," he tweeted.

NorthEast United at the end of the 2020/2021 Indian Super League secured the third spot on the league table with thirty-three points after twenty games. First placed Mumbai was crowned champions with forty points after twenty games.

A product of the Ebsfleet United PASE Youth System, Kwesi Appiah has played for several clubs in England notably Crystal Palace FC, Reading, Cambridge United, AFC Wimbledon amongst others.

Kwesi has also featured for the Ghanaian national team with two goals in seven appearances for the Black Stars.
