Kwesi Appiah, a former Black Stars coach, has recently been in the headlines following reports linking him to the vacant coaching position at Asante Kotoko.

As a former player and coach of the national team, the Black Stars, Appiah's potential move to one of Ghana's biggest football clubs has been a topic of much speculation and anticipation within the football community.

The Porcupine Warriors fired coach Seydou Zerbo after their defeat to Medeama SC in Kumasi. Abdul Gazale has been appointed caretaker coach.

Kwesi Appiah dismissed the report linking him to the vacant Kotoko hot seat.

“No. Nobody has approached or contacted me for the job,” he told Ghanasportspage.com

Kotoko in their match week 24 game in the Ghana Premier League drew 1-1 with Legon Cities at the El Wak Stadium.

The Kumasi-based club will take on Real Tamale United. The game will be played at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Sunday.
