Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is set to drag the Ghana Football Association to court over his unpaid salaries.

His lawyers have written to the Football Association demanding $180,000 in unpaid wages and salaries to be paid within the next one-week.

According to reports, the 59-year-old is owed six months' salary and one match-winning bonus.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has instructed his lawyers to serve the GFA with a demand notice giving them one-week to make payment or drag them to the court to demand all unpaid salaries and bonuses.

Appiah is said to have been angered by the GFA's directive that he should return 'everything handed to him' which aided his work as Black Stars coach. Appiah complied and returned the car last in March.

Kwesi Appiah's second stint, which lasted two-and-half years, ended in December 2019.

He was replaced by his assistant, Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
