Kwesi Appiah's two strikes in the running for Boreham Wood Goal-Of-The-Month award

Ghanaian forward Kwesi Appiah has been making waves at English lower-tier side Boreham Wood FC, with two of his three goals in the month of July being nominated for the Goal-Of-The-Month award.

One of his impressive goals came during the team's pre-season training, where he scored against a reserve Chelsea FC side with a fine strike that has rightly earned its place as a strong candidate for the Goal-Of-The-Month accolade.

Not stopping there, Appiah continued his fine preseason form by scoring another remarkable goal against Potters Bar Town on July 25th. This goal has also been shortlisted for the coveted award at Boreham Wood FC.

The 32-year-old striker joined the National League on a two-year deal following the mutual cancellation of his contract with League Two side Crawley Town.

The former Crystal Palace man has been a journeyman since his pro debut, making notable stops at Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Cambridge United, Notts County, AFC Wimbledon, and Reading.
