Stadiums in LaLiga Santander and LaLiga 1|2|3 registered a total attendance of 7,520,225 in the first half of the 2018/19 campaign. The record figure brings the competition even closer to its target of 15 million by the end of the season.

Never before had the number for the first half of a campaign reached the 7-million mark, which is an 8.71% increase on last season, with 602,372 more fans attending stadiums in the two divisions.

The figure of 5,172,228 supporters in LaLiga Santander shows a 2.35% increase on the same period in 2017/18, with 118,942 more visitors to top-flight stadiums.

LaLiga 1|2|3, meanwhile, has racked up record-breaking numbers for this point of the season in comparison with previous years. In 2016/17, for example, it took 11 more matchdays to reach 2,347,997 stadium spectators, and in 2017/18 the figure at the halfway point was 1,864,567.

This spectacular total is a 25.93% increase on the 2017/18 campaign between August and January in the second tier.

Average attendance is also on the up at stadiums in LaLiga Santander (27,222) and LaLiga 1|2|3 (10,164).

As an entertainment industry, LaLiga continues to grow and supporters' interest in taking part in the spectacle of Spanish football is demonstrated by the positive trend in the number of fans attending matches season on season.
