Laryea Kingston making strides with Right to Dream Academy at a tournament in Japan

Former Black Stars attacker Laryea Kingston is making strides in Japan as a coach after leading Right to Dream Academy to two wins in two matches at 2019 J League International Youth Cup.

After hanging his boot, the former Hearts of Oak deadball specialist has taken up coaching as he hopes to enjoy similar success.

Leading Right to Dream Academy to the International tournament for the first time, coach Laryea Kingston guided the side to a 2-0 win over Fukuoka in their opening match.

In the team’s second group A match today, the gaffer led his side to an emphatic 3-0 win over South Korean club Gwangju.

Right to Dream Academy by virtue of the two wins has secured qualification to the semi-finals of the tournament even though they have one match to spare which will be against Nagoya.

The Akosombo based academy side is targeting glory at the annual international youth tournament and will be eyeing a strong finish in the group to maintain their confidence in the knockout stage.

The 8-team J League International Youth Cup being held in Nagano started on December 18, 2019, and will end on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
