Late brace from Joel Fameyeh earns FC Orenburg vital point against FC Tambov

Ghanaian international, Joel Fameyeh produce a stunning performance after coming on as a substitute in the second half for FC Orenburg by scoring twice to help them draw 2-2 with Tambov FK on Saturday.

The side is currently having a difficult start to the season in the Russian Premier League following a winless run in the first four matches.

Determined to win their first match of the ongoing campaign, FC Orenburg hosted FC Tambov to the Gazovik Stadium on Matchday 5 but unfortunately fell behind after conceding on the 26th minute.

Ivorian defender Cedric Gogoua scored to send shocking waves down the spines of the Blue and Whites who went into the break on the losing side.

The away side scored a second on the 68th minute to deepen the woes of FC Orenburg courtesy a strike from Khasan Mamtov.

With 20 minutes to end proceedings, manager Vladimir Fedotov introduced Joel Fameyeh in place of midfielder Ricardo Alves to try and salvage something out of the match.

The Ghanaian had an instant impact and turned the match on its head by scoring on the 74th minute to give his side a lifeline.

Four minutes later, Fameyeh was on hand again to complete his brace which ensured FC Orenburg picked up a point from their match week five game against FC Tambov.
