Latest survey reveals Kotoko’s Sogne Yacouba is the biggest star in the Ghana Premier League

A survey conducted by the African Sports Centre for Data, Research and Technology (ASC) has revealed that Asante Kotoko attacker Sogne Yacouba is the biggest star in the Ghana Premier League.

The Burkinabe import has been a revelation for the Porcupine Warriors since joining them. He has been one of the standout players for the side in all their campaigns in Africa.

While there are some other exciting players on the local scene, Sogne Yacouba has been able to beat the likes of Hearts of Oak's Joseph Esso, Ashanti Gold’s Shafiu Mumuni, and others to emerge as the biggest star on the scene.

In a report released by the African Sports Centre for Data, Research and Technology (ASC) on December 24, 2019, Yacouba is ranked bigger than his teammates Felix Annan and Emmanuel Gyamfi.

Hearts of Oak’s pair of Joseph Esso and Manaf Umar makes the list with Shafiu Mumuni representing the Miners.

It is understood that the findings of the report were based on insights into supporters behavior about the Ghana Premier League in relation to revenue opportunities and possibilities. It mainly focused on Interest, awareness, patronage, as well as consumption and commerce.
