Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC midfielder, Latif Anabila has reiterated his desire to play for Asante Kotoko despite the recent transfer embargo placed on the club.

The Ghana Premier League record holders have been linked with a move for the highly-rated midfielder in the past year with Coach Maxwell Konadu making him a priority in the last transfer window.

The possibility of joining the Reds have been hit following a transfer ban placed on Asante Kotoko by the Owner and Life Patron of the club, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Despite the latest development, Latif Anabila says he still hopes to get the opportunity to play for the Porcupine Warriors one day.

“I still have a contract with Ashantigold but Asante Kotoko is a dream club and would like to join subject to agreement between Ashantigold and Asante Kotoko.

“The transfer ban by Otumfour on the club will not have a negative impact on me but will rather be a motivating factor to do more for Kotoko to keep the faith in me”, he said in an interview with Kumasi FM.

Anabila remains a key asset for Ashanti Gold and the club has priced him at $30,000.
