French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet has cast doubt on any World Cup chance for Karim Benzema.
There remains calls for the Real Madrid striker to be recalled to the France squad by coach Didier Deschamps. But Le Graet believes such chances are now remote.
He explained to RMC: "It would be necessary to be blind or deaf not to understand that Benzema will be difficult to select.
"It seems to me indisputable. It must also be said that there are a number of talented players in attack so the problem may be different less than a few years ago.
"Deschamps chose to play him for a few years while he was not brilliant in the French team."
