The 25-year-old joined the Phobians in 2021 from Aduana Stars and established himself as a key cog to the club.

He played a huge role when the club ended its trophy drought by winning the Ghana Premier League title in the 2020/21 season.

Speaking to Kessben FM, the former WAFA defender disclosed talks between him and the club about his future.

“At the moment, we are into negotiations with the club. Going as a free agent will be bad because the club has helped me a lot. So, we are engaging with the club to take the best of decisions” he said.

He made 24 appearances in the just-ended season, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.

Amankwah has one Ghana Premier League title and two FA Cup titles with the Phobians since his arrival.
