Former Ghana international, Baffour Gyan, has adviced former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper to focus on securing a move abroad after leaving Asante Kotoko.
He believes when a player plays for Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko, the next step is to move abroad and not sign for another local club.
Danlad was among the first batch of 18 players Asante Kotoko released within 24 hours last month.
“I have told many players about this. When you play for Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko, you don’t sign for a lower club again,” Baffoour Gyan told Wontumi Radio.
“If you are leaving, it means you are moving abroad. You are supposed to be determined.
“You don’t play at Asante Kotoko and move to a lower club. This is my advice I have been giving to many players.”
Danlad joined Asante Kotoko in 2016 as a teenager and won multiple trophies with the club under various coaches.
Initially, he struggled to break into the first team, spending loan spells with Berekum Chelsea and King Faisal. Over time, he established himself as the primary goalkeeper for the record holders of the Ghana Premier League.
However, the last two seasons were difficult for the young goalkeeper as he seemed to have lost the trust of his coaches, who preferred former Accra Lions goalkeeper Frederick Asare.
