Italian side Lecce have ended their pursuit of Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah in the winter transfer window.
The struggling Serie A outfit have rather gone for Antonin Barak from Udinese on loan until the end of the campaign.
Acquah was close to making a return to Italy after Lecce tried to lure him back to the serie A.
However, Yeni Malatyaspor kept hold of their influential midfielder as they aim for a decent position in the Turkish Super Lig.
The 28-year old has made 14 appearances creating three assists for the club this campaign.
He joined the the Turkish club in the summer from Empoli.
