Leeroy Owusu faces battle for his position at Dutch top flight side Willem II

Ghanaian right-back Leeroy Owusu faces huge competition for his spot in the side after the return of Freek Heerkens.

The 24-year old joined Willem in the summer from De Graafschap and played impressively during friendlies but suffered a hamstring injury before the season began.

After returning to the side, Owusu has not been at his best and his team are struggling in the league. They are currently 15th with 11 points in 11 matches.

The Netherlands born defender will aim to step it up as he could be dropped for another in the near future.

Owusu mostly featured for the Ajax youth team. His current contract lasts until 2023.
