Legon Cities FC hopes captain Degorl Jeffery recovers from injury before football restarts

Legon Cities FC is hoping to have captain Degorl Jeffery fully fit when the 2019/2020 football season makes a return in Ghana.

Football has been on suspension since March in line with a directive from the government banning all sporting activities. Though arrangements have been made to ease the restrictions on sporting activities, football remains banned until July 31, 2020.

For Legon Cities FC, they are hoping Degorl Jeffery will use this period to fully recover from an injury he sustained prior to the halting of the Ghana Premier League season.

In a Twitter post today, the rebranded Wa Al Stars club has said: "Our captain has been missed due to injury...We hope to see him fit and healthy again".

This season, Degorl Jeffery has made 9 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and has 1 goal and 1 assist to his name.

He has been one of the best players for Coach Goran Barjaktarevic and will be key for the Royals when the season resumes.
