Leicester Boss Claudio Ranieri Urges Foxes to Maintain Momentum After 4-2 City Win

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has urged his players to maintain momentum following their impressive win over Manchester City at the weekend.

Jamie Vardy's hat-trick and Andy King's curling effort saw Leicester storm into a 4-0 lead, although strikes from Aleks Kolarov and Nolito reduced the deficit late on. Speaking toLeicester's official club website, Ranieri insisted it was imperative for his side to record a positive result at Bournemouth on Tuesday.

"Bournemouth impressed me last season. They played so well and at the beginning of this season they have played well and got a lot of points," Ranieri stated.

"For us it's very important not to lose there and not to lose at Stoke because we want to keep this momentum in the right way.

"I expect a battle and a lot of skill because they move the ball very well. It's a good team who play always together and it will be another big battle."

Vardy's return to form is a timely boost for Leicester, who are currently 14th in the Premier League. Ranieri will be forced into one change thanks to Danny Simpson's suspension, but the former Chelsea and Monaco manager has claimed Vardy is now enjoying himself following a difficult start to the season.

"One change I have to do but let me think and coach before the match. In the summer I said to Jamie [Vardy] 'made this dream true, stay with us and keep going because we want to continue to dream.'

"Now he has started to sleep and dream, it's good.

"If you lose the next two matches, you forget this great performance. For us it is fundamental to get points from Bournemouth and Stoke. They will be big battles but with these warriors I am very confident."
