Leicester City News: Musa completes CSKA Moscow move; King can leave on-loan

Published on: 30 January 2018

Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa has completed a loan move to CSKA Moscow.

The Nigerian joined Leicester City from CSKA in a club-record £16m deal just 18 months ago but struggled to adjust to life in England.

Musa, a bit-part player in his first season, has seen his opportunities dwindle further this campaign, playing just one senior game, at Sheffield United in the second round of the Carabao Cup, a match in which he scored.

The 25-year-old now heads back to the Russian capital until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Leicester City boss Claude Puel says Andy King could leave on-loan this week.

“We will see with Andy," he told the Leicester Mercury. “I appreciate him because he is professional and an example for the squad. He is an example for the team and we will see.

“We have a lot of players in his position and it is difficult to give him more game time but we will see what happens at the end of the window.

“Perhaps for some players, without the game time, they would like to go and we will see if there are opportunities for them."
