Experienced football administrator, George Afriyie has urged Ghanaians to remember rising star Mohammed Kudus in prayers.

According to him, the Black Stars poster boy needs to be supported to get better and reach his full potential in the coming years.

“Firstly he needs our prayers and support. Even at a point where he fails us, let us continue to support him because he is riding on a typical Ghanaian history coming out with one or two players at a particular time.

“Having seen the likes of Abedi Pele [Ayew], Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan, and Sulley Muntari, I think that it’s gotten to the turn of Mohammed Kudus. He has started so well and is doing so well,” George Afriyie told 3Sports in an interview.

The former GFA Vice President added, “He needs our prayers and support. From what he is doing, he is going to emerge just as his predecessors have been able to do. I have no doubt that he will be able to deliver and make Ghana proud and lift the flag of Ghana very very high.”

Mohammed Kudus is having his best season at Ajax in the ongoing 2022/23 football campaign.

He is one of 25 players invited for Ghana’s next assignment in the AFCON qualifiers.
