​Leverkusen forward Hernandez set for West Ham medical

Javier Hernández will undergo a medical with West Ham United on Tuesday.

According to Sky Sports, the Bayer Leverkusen striker has agreed personal terms and will become the club 's highest paid in their history, earning £140,000 a week.

'Chicharito' is already well known by Premier League fans after his five-year spell with Manchester United. The 27-year old scored 59 goals in 156 appearances for the Red Devils before joining Leverkusen in 2015.

Hernandez became even more prolific with the Bundesliga club, netting 39 goals in 76 appearances.

West Ham have made three signings so far this season, with the arrivals of Marko Arnautovic from Stoke, Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City and Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer.
