Barcelona will send Ousmane Dembele to Finland for a final post-surgery check before his much-anticipated return.
Dembele has not played for La Blaugrana this season after suffering a hamstring injury while representing France at Euro 2020.
The former Borussia Dortmund star has been plagued by ailments for the past 18 months, and he underwent surgery in Helsinki in July under the supervision of world-renowned expert Dr. Lasse Lampainen.
Dembele is expected to go to Finland this weekend, according to Marca, with the club awaiting final authorisation from Dr Lampainen before moving further with his recovery.
If Dembele is given the green light to return to competitive play, Ronald Koeman may call him up to face Rayo Vallecano in a midweek match.
