Lille and Toulouse interested in Kelvin Yeboah

French football clubs Lille and Toulouse have emerged as frontrunners in the race to secure the services of Genoa striker, Kelvin Yeboah.

Yeboah spent half of last season on loan at Bundesliga side Augsburg.

Yeboah joined the club with the option of making the deal permanent. Augsburg did not make the deal permanent when the loan deal expired.

The 23-year-old Italian-Ghanaian striker doesn't seem to be part of Alberto Gilardino's plans ahead of the new season.

Having been born in Accra, Yeboah is still qualified to play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Italy U-21 national youth team.

He is the nephew of former Ghanaian international footballer Tony Yeboah.

Yeboah, who can play as a centre forward or out wide, previously impressed with a spell at SK Sturm Graz.

The Italy U21 international (four appearances) was involved in 30 goals in 45 competitive games for the Austrians (20 goals, 10 assists).
