Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Eyes Up Four Players Ahead of £150m Summer Spending Spree

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is preparing to spend big in the summer with a budget of around £150m, according toThe Sun.

Klopp has reportedly set his sights onAthletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams, who has a £43m release clause at the Basque club.

Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also on Liverpool's shortlist, while Monacomidfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Southampton defenderVirgil van Dijk are both reported targets.

Liverpool are expected to be active in the transfer market, which may appease one of Klopp's biggest critics, fitness coachRaymond Verheijen.

The Dutchman has claimed that Klopp will need to change half of his squad every two years in order to avoid burnout from his high intensity pressing game.

If you look at Dortmund, for two years Klopp was successful," Verheijen said. Then after they lost 2-1 to Bayern Munich in the 2012-13 Champions League final, in the next season they fell apart.

They had several ACL injuries, a lot of muscle injuries. The injury record was horrendous. He could point to his record and say he was successful but at what cost to his players?

So when coaches are squeezing players like this it can only be for the short term. You can't do it for five or six years. So after two years you have to change the coach.Or you have to change half the team. The higher the tempo you play, the shorter term the success will be.

Therefore the players have to be changed so Klopp can maintain the style of play he always wants to play.

Daniel Sturridge, Lucas, Alberto Moreno, Adam Bogdan and potentially Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius could be outgoings in the summer as Klopp looks to strengthen for European football.
