Liverpool Fans Mock Everton With 'Happy 21st Anniversary' Banner During Merseyside Derby Win

When it comes to bragging rights, Liverpool fanshave plenty of ammunition to launch against Everton supporters, especially after winning the Merseyside derby on Monday.

Sadio Mane's late winner condemned Ronald Koeman's side to a crushing defeat, and it must have only improved the joyous mood most Reds fans were in, with plenty of supporters seen partying in the away end.

With Liverpool seemingly on the up under Jurgen Klopp, fans decided to celebrate the last time Everton experienced a first-class level of success, namely an FA Cup triumph in 1995. The Toffees have failed to pick up any silverware since, with their misery compounded by the fact that Liverpool have won every competition bar the league during that time.

Liverpool's fans were seen waving party balloons and banners, while the large banner read "From your successful neighbours" - it's probably fair to say that the party celebrations relating to Everton's last major triumph were probably a little disingenuous.

The gap between the two sides is as big as it has been in recent years, with Liverpool 15 points ahead of their rivals in second, while Everton are languishing in ninth, behind the likes of Manchester United, Southampton and West Brom.
