Liverpool Goalkeeper Loris Karius Claims He 'Fears the Dentist More Than Zlatan Ibrahimovic'

Liverpool's new shot-stopper Loris Karius has revealed that a trip to the dentist scares him more than coming up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The former Mainz goalkeeper admitted that the Manchester United forward is 'certainly a great player', but that he wastes no time thinking about who he is playing against and has no fear on the pitch.

Karius featured between the sticks in the last match between Liverpool and United - a disappointing 0-0 draw at Anfield. He did keep a clean sheet, but it was perhaps more due the misfiring Ibrahimovic on the night than the German's safe hands.

Prior to this month, the enigmatic Swede looked to be carrying his Paris Saint-Germain form over to Manchester, with five goals in his first five games for the Red Devils.

But he has struggled for form of late, with only one goal in his previous eight matches.

His lack of confidence in front of goal was highlighted against Liverpool, when, with the goal gaping, Zlatan misjudged his header and failed to hit the target with what was a rare golden opportunity in a tight match.

Speaking to German News outlet Bild viatheSport Bible, Karius was asked whether he feared the dentist or Ibrahimovic the most. The line of questioning wasdue to the fact that his name sounds rather like a children's book in Norwaywhich tries to getkids to take care of their teeth.

"It's definitely the dentist," Karius replied.

"Ibrahimovic is certainly a great player, but during a match I don't waste any thoughts on who is opposing me, and you never have any fears on the pitch."
