Liverpool hero Luis Garcia: They\'ll build a statue to Coutinho

Liverpool hero Luis Garcia is confident Philippe Coutinho will stay.

Though neither the club nor Coutinho want to part this summer, there has been speculation over interest from Paris St-Germain, while Barcelona have been previous suitors of the Brazilian.

“I've said it many, many times, he's very happy," Garcia told LFCTV. “If you leave, you will be a player. If you stay, you will have a statue. It says everything.

“He loves the club, he's happy, his family is happy and we'll see him for a few more years.

“He is one of the key players. We have Champions League back at Anfield and that was probably the main thing they wanted at the beginning of last season.

“Right now, they must keep all of the important players. Him, (Divock) Origi, (Daniel) Sturridge, (Roberto) Firmino – all those players who did amazing work last year, it's very important to keep them because that's how you keep the base of the team, and then you are the right players.

“It's not all about spending money and buying players, it's about buying the right ones."
