Liverpool Linked With Shock Swoop for Middlesbrough Star After Recent Difficulty in Attack

A resolution up top is needed in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side. The Anfield club have failed to win in five Premier League ties since New Year's Eve, where they just edged pastManchester City 1-0 at home.


Since then, the club have slipped out of the top four, ultimately putting them out of Champions League contention.

With misfiring offensive options, the club has turned their attention towards Middlesbrough's Uruguayan ace Gaston Ramirez, in the hope that next season, he'll help fire the Merseysiderstowards a stronger push for the leaguetitle.

Ramirez has only managed to make17 appearances so far this term for Aitor Karanka's side.The attackerwanted a move away from the Riverside Stadium in January, but saw a proposed move to Leicester City blocked.


Karanka has furthermore insisted that Ramirez had to stay to help the club stave off relegation, recently stating:"He is and he will be an important player in this team and he knows that.


"He knows the effort that the club made to sign him last season and therefore that the club made this summer to sign him permanently."
