Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho accepts the chance of a move to Barcelona is now over.
The Reds have turned down three bids for his services and an end to the transfer saga now looks close.
The Independent says Coutinho has now accepted a move is not likely, and he and his agents will speak to senior figures at Anfield to smooth over any issues.
Some of Coutinho's entourage reportedly blame Barcelona for stirring the pot and encouraging the player to email in a transfer request and agitate for a move.
Coutinho hasn't played yet this season after complaining of a back injury.
