Liverpool officials in Rome to close deals for two attacking signings

Liverpool officials are busy in Rome working on two transfer deals.

ESPN reports Mohamed Salah is the No1 target for Kop boss Jurgen Klopp and talks between the two clubs are ongoing.

Roma have turned down a £28million bid from the Premier League giants for the Egyptian international.

But Klopp is hopeful that a deal can be struck within the coming days so he can secure his first signing of the summer.

And the Reds manager is also seeking a deal with Lazio for striker Keita Balde Diao.

They are still yet to make a move for the 22-year-old, but with his contract expiring next summer, he is expected to depart the Italian capital in the coming weeks.

Local sources say one English club are going for Diao, with Liverpool identified as the suitor.
