Liverpool rejected a deadline day bid from Juventus for Emre Can, it has been revealed.
Corriere dello Sport says the Serie A champs made a late £23m offer for the player after being informed he has “no intention" of signing a new deal at Anfield.
Juventus are usually very shrewd when it comes to transfer business, and their main policy is to target top players who are nearing the end of their contracts.
Can is one such footballer, with the Germany international's Liverpool deal set to expire in less than a year's time.
And with age on his side, the 23-year-old represents a glorious bargain signing after becoming a key man under Jurgen Klopp.
The report adds that Can will be available for just £9m when the next transfer window rolls around.
