Liverpool sign Colombian youngster Anderson Arroyo from Fortaleza

Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp was left angry after he believed the media were trying to twist his words after Tottenham's Erik Lamela won his side a penalty in the 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of young Colombian defender Anderson Arroyo.

Arroyo has joined the club from Fortaleza CEIF after a deal was agreed during the recent January transfer window.

The 18-year-old has immediately been sent out on loan to Mallorca in Segunda B for the reminder of the current season and for the next campaign in the hope he can obtain a work permit to play in England.

Anderson Arroyo has joined Liverpool from Colombian club Fortaleza.

Arroyo, a full-back who has represented Colombia at under-20 level, had progressed through the ranks at Fortaleza and made 22 appearances in the first team in the past three seasons.

He becomes the second young defender to join Liverpool in recent weeks following Tony Gallacher's £200,000 transfer from Falkirk.
