Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has revealed his reaction to hearing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' after lining up at Anfield for the first time recently, one that will certainly further endear the Serbian to Reds supporters.

"I watched many videos of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' on YouTube, but this was the first time I felt it (in person). I was very impressed - goosebumps," Grujic told Liverpoolfc.com as he recalled his first start for the club in the EFL Cup win over Tottenham last month.

"The feeling (in real life)is 10 times better," the 20-year-old added.

"I know the fans try to be better and better from game to game. I know they are our 12th player. They give us a special force and push us forward. It's important for every player on the pitch."

Having signed for Liverpool from boyhood club Red Star Belgrade in January, Grujic remained on loan in Serbia for the second half of last season and has been eased gently into life in England.

The 2015 Under-20 World Cup winner made his debut as a substitute in the away defeat at Burnley and has since played 16 more minutes of Premier League action. He was given the full 90 minutes in the EFL Cup away against Derby County, but Tottenham was his first home start.

"I felt good after the game and had positive comments from the coaches. But I know that I can do much better," he said.

Despite being a full international since May, Grujic is currently with Serbia on Under-21 duty.
