After suffering a 2-0 midweek defeat to Rangers, Aberdeen were determined to gain all three points, but it was the visitors who got off to the better start.

Kilmarnock took the lead in the 28th minute through a Kris Boyd goal, in the match where Boyd was celebrating his 300th appearance for Kilmarnock.

Aberdeen began their comeback after halftime. First, Scott McKenna headed home from a corner, in the 49th minute to equalise.

McKenna then scored a goal of the season contender, as he powered his shot home from over 40 yards out.
