Ludogorets Razgrad winger, Bernard Tekpetey has applauded the teamwork of the side in their 3-1 win against Buducnost Podgorica in the first round of the playoffs to the next edition of the Uefa Champions League.
The Bulgarian outfit is seeking qualification to play in the Group Stages of next season’s elite competition of Uefa.
At the Stadion Pod Goricom on Wednesday, Bernard Tekpetey earned a starting role for his Ludogorets outfit and managed to provide the needed attacking threat to help them pick up a win.
Goals from Higinio Marin, Mavis Tchibota, and Cauly Oliveira Souza did the trick for the winners while Igor Cukovic netted a consolation for Buducnost Podgorica.
Reacting to his debut in the competition, Bernard Tekpetey has stressed the importance of teamwork.
“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much. Great team effort, next round”, the Ludogorets forward said in a post on his Instagram page.
Tekpetey joined the Bulgarian side this summer on a 2-year loan deal from German Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
He is gradually becoming a key man for the team after excelling in the few matches he has played.
