Luke Shaw Reveals What Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba Bring to Manchester United's Dressing Room

Luke Shaw has revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has brought more than just his goalscoring ability and experience to the Manchester United first-team squad.

The left-back divulged that the 35-year-old's humorous personality has helped to rebuild the team spirit and camaraderie among United's players in an interview with the Daily Mirror.

Ibrahimovic joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in the summer, and has already won over the United faithful with a string of good displays for Jose Mourinho's side.

The former Sweden international has notched six goals in his opening 12 appearances since completing his summer switch from Paris Saint-Germain, including the winning strikes over Zorya Luhansk and Southampton.

It is Ibrahimovic's deadpan ability to constantly tell jokes, however, that has impressed Shaw most since his arrival, and the 23-year-old said he believes that the former Juventus and Barcelona man's persona has helped bring United's squad closer together.

He said: "When I came in (to United) there was a few big leaders that left, but if you look at the squad we have some experienced ones as well as younger players like myself.

"Adding quality like Ibra helps the dressing room. He's a great person to be around and he tells so many jokes - and everyone wants to listen.

"It's good for squad morale because everyone's closer together. I think it's starting to show on the pitch that we are more together now as a team."

Shaw also commented on what Paul Pogba has brought to the United dressing room after he rejoined the club during the summer transfer window.

The world's most expensive player returned to Old Trafford after a four-year spell with Juventus, and Shaw explained that the France midfielder had brought more than just his quality on the ball to Manchester.

He added: "He has brought a presence, and a lot of dance moves in the changing room!

"He was named in the world XI for a reason and I believe he is one of the best in the world. I think he is still adapting and still doing good for the team. He is staying strong and believing in his ability. We can all see his ability in training. Game by game he is getting stronger. He is a very nice guy, in his terms he is a great leader as well."
