Lyon president Aulas sets transfer deadline for Arsenal striker Giroud

Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas admits a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will depend on Arsene Wenger.

Aulas believes Giroud will only leave should the Gunners manager buy another striker.

He told RMC: "I think today Olivier wants to stay in Arsenal. It is especially Arsene Wenger that must be questioned. If there are arrivals at Arsenal, maybe Olivier will want to return to France.

"I have long expressed that he is one of the players who can be of interest to us, but not only. And since we want the recruitment to be finished in 15 days, practically, it is not necessarily compatible with Olivier Giroud.

"We will surely have initiatives with players of very high world level, before perhaps the arrival of Olivier Giroud."
