Maintain close ties with Opoku Nti - former management member advises new Kotoko CEO
Dr Kwame Kyei - New Kotoko CEO

A former Operations Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Owusu, has urged  the newly appointed Chief Executive of the club, Dr Kwame Kyei, to court a positive relationship with the immediate past administrators to ensure a smooth handing over. He said in doing so, Dr. Kyei would also learn more about the strength and weakness of the team  for immediate redress before the Ghana Premier League kicks off.
“Dr Kyei has taken over the club at a time the Ghana Premier League is about to begin, so he should start with a clean sheet by keeping close to the old administration . This will not only ensure a smooth handing over, but will also enable Dr Kyei to appreciate the challenges confronting him and how to address them before the league kicks off,”
Nana Yaw Owusu told Graphic Sports during a telephone interview.

He also urged Dr Kyei to make time with  old administrators and influential supporters of the Porcupine Warriors  with the view of
courting their support, and also learn from their experiences .

“ He should have time to interact with old administrators who are
endowed with much experience in football. This is  because in meeting them, he will have much to learn from them  to make Kotoko much more formidable and winsome”, he said.

Nana Yaw Owusu said the timing of  appointing Dr Kyei was appropriate, in that, it would enable him to poach quality players before the Ghana Premier League kicks off.

“ The fate of the past administration was hanging, so it did not allow them to invest in new players. Now that Dr Kyei has taken over, I am certain he will go into action soon to recruit quality players  to strengthen the team, thereby bringing the smiles back to the numerous supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko”, Nana Owusu stressed.
