Mainz 05 set to recall Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass in January

German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 are set to recall Ghanaian forward Issah Abass in the upcoming January transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.

Mainz have decided to cut short Abass' season-long loan deal in order to aid them in the second round of their 2019/20 Bundesliga campaign.

The 21-year-old joined Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has been key cog for the side so far this season.

The highly-rated Ghanaian has made 11 appearances and scored two goals for FC Utrecht in all competitions this term.

His contract with the German club will expire in 2023.

He is currently with the Black Meteors of Ghana team at the ongoing Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt
