Majeed Waris (Nantes) summoned with Ghana

Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has selected 21 players for the trip to Kenya on September 8th. We note in particular the absence of Ayew brothers, that of Asamoah Gyan and the summoning of Majeed Waris, the striker of Nantes.

Arrived in Nantes at the beginning of the month , Ghana's international forward Majeed Waris (26, 25 caps) is among the 21 players selected by James Kwesi Appiah for the match in Kenya, September 8, counting for the playoffs of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Appiah, who also summoned Lawrence Ati-Zigi, the goalkeeper of Sochaux (L2), and John Boye, the defender of Metz (L2), however chose to do without brothers Ayew, Andre and Jordan, and the Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan. Kwadwo Asamoah, the midfielder of Inter, made his comeback after four years of absence in selection.
