Malik Jabir criticizes Nana Yaw Amponsah's management of Asante Kotoko

Former Asante Kotoko player and coach, Malik Jabir, has publicly criticized the current management of the football club under Nana Yaw Amponsah's leadership.

Asante Kotoko is one of the most successful football clubs in Ghana and has a passionate fan base. Therefore, any critique of the club's management is likely to draw attention and generate discussions within the football community.

In this context, Jabir's recent comments have sparked a debate about the state of Asante Kotoko and the direction of the club under Amponsah's leadership.

Kotoko's defense of the title they won last season has not gone well due to inconsistent results on the pitch and internal problems. The Porcupine Warriors are currently managed by assistant coach Abdul Gazale after Burkinabe coach Seydou Zerbo was sacked after the defeat to Medeama SC.

"Nana Yaw Amponsah's administration is the complete opposite of Asante Kotoko's tradition and philosophy," Jabir told Silver FM.

"If the owner can probably set tradition aside and get investors whether they’re Ghanaians, foreigners, or whoever who will come and join the club because they have invested money in it and they expect returns I’m sure they will work better,”

Fifth-placed Asante Kotoko will clash with league leaders Aduana Stars in the next league game.
