Malta Guinness sponsoring WPL means the league is a global brand - Faith Ladies CEO

Ebenezer Allotey, the Chief Executive Officer of Faith Ladies FC, believes that Malta Guinness's sponsorship of the Ghana Women's Premier League as the headline sponsor means that the Ghanaian Women's top flight is now a global brand.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced Malta Guinness as the official sponsor of the Women's Premier League in August 2022. The sponsorship, worth GHc10 million, will span a period of three years, starting from the 2022/2023 season.

Allotey is convinced that this is a testament to the progress the women's league has made, and it is only a matter of time before the competition finds its feet.

"I'm very positive that with the set up we have now, the Women's Premier League will not take long to blossom," he told Citi Sports. "When you have an international organization like Malta Guinness supporting you, you realize how far you have come, and the sky is the limit."
