Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has hailed the influence of manager Pep Guardiola on their season.

City remain unbeaten in all competitions and Gundogan is quick to credit Guardiola for their success.

He told Spox: "Pep has the biggest share in it. He always finds solutions, for every opponent and every single situation, and pays close attention to the details.

"That makes it easier for us. The better we can do that, the more successful we are. The way we play football speaks for itself: very attractive, very fast, many opportunities, many goals. It's just a lot of fun to watch us right now."

Gundogan added: "Last season we already had a lot of opportunities, but we did not score so many goals. Now we are much more dangerous. Our strikers score almost every chance, so in combination with our strong passing and ball possession football, it is easier to dominate our opponents.

"At some point, the enemy has to do something, which means that we have even more room in which we can attack. So we master the opponents and get our points."
