Man City attacker Thomas Agyepong: Europe is SO cold

Published on: 03 March 2018

Ghanaian Thomas Agyepong admits he's always struggling with the European winters.

The Manchester City attacker is currently on-loan at NAC Breda.

"This weather is not for me. Due to the low temperatures, the muscles are hard and less supple, making these muscles even more vulnerable. For me, that applies to an extreme degree; I am an explosive player and come from a warm country," Agyepong told BN/De Stem, before recalling trials at Celtic as a 14 year-old.

"It was so incredibly cold. I did not know what happened to me. We were not allowed to wear gloves, while white flakes fell from the air. 'What is this?' I had never seen snow before. My hands were frozen after training and I could hardly move my feet.

"Do you know what I think is the worst? Go inside and then have to sweat out again for the second half. That is only cold."
